Wayne McMillan and Mark Gage met at art school. Street art brought them a different way to enjoy their passion and gave them the opportunity to work freely, without pressure from the market. Nowadays Mark and Wayne spend their time working on the ground in Melbourne CBD, drawing with charcoal on canvas. Passers-by cannot help but notice their indisputable talent, and some also donate money in recognition. Over the years these two artists have learnt how to complement one another. Their relationship is the key which gives them support to overcome difficult moments and keep working together. When one of them gets tired, the other one keeps drawing on the same piece of art. Their collaboration and shared vision is something quite extraordinary. This 10 minute film allows the audience to enter the world of the artists, and see how they thrive on the freedom and environment that street art provides. They will see the artists’ talents, their unquestionable creativity, and the fearless freedom in their approach to art. More importantly the audience will gain an understanding of how this long term collaboration has led to a shared vision between two minds which work as one.
