Two wanna-be thugs with no experience, skill or clue decide to rob a girl's apartment after finding the purse she left at a bar. While they are robbing the apartment, the girl and her roommate return home for a late night romance.
Rob and Merrit, two disgruntled, unemployed young ex-professionals who are struggling to find work, find a purse and decide to use the keys to burgle an apartment. Completely inexperienced in crime, everything goes wrong for them, beginning with the purse owner Chelsea, and her roommate Tim, returning home earlier than anticipated in search of the missing purse. The reluctant burglars are forced to hide while Tim tries to seduce Chelsea, who is distracted and distraught over the institutionalization of their third roommate. This is only the start of the problems the pair of robbers will have to overcome, as Tim makes ground with Chelsea, and they don’t look to be leaving the living room anytime soon.
