Synopsis: 

'Socrates of Kamchatka' is a tale about the 'breaking' of horses and people by caring Communist masters. It blends documentary and fiction to tell a story about a small rural community in Kamchatka, Russia struggling to adapt to unceasing waves of economic and political change, told from a perspective of a village horse Socrates who was brutally killed to punish his owner Anfisa for her economic success.
