World War II is over. In the Polish People's Republic, despite the flowering of mining in Silesia, there is nothing more valuable than a constant supply of food.

In a local coal mine happens an inexplicable incident - one of the miners disappears without a trace. The foreman of the mine asks for help in the investigation a local pellar and whisperer Sidonia, who decides to help him for food rations. When they go together into the depths of the mine, it turns out that supernatural forces are involved in the matter.
