Late 90's, prison in Łęczyca. The main character, prisoner ­ Kuba ­ is a "senior stirrer", informal boss of the prison's unit. His punishment is getting finished soon. Crafty journalist (Tomasz) uses Kuba for his TV reportage. The interview is taken only few days before Kuba supposed to leave the prison. Reporter manipulates an old prisoner so he reveals well kept principles of „Prisoners Code”. He also talks about his personal relations with prison superiors (such pacts are strictly prohibited among all prisoners). Kuba's inmates know he is leaving prison soon. They want to test his loyalty so they seriously hurt mate from their cell and extend Kuba's time in prison this way. Kuba knows the consequences of treason in prison. That is why he hurts himself just before TV broadcast (reportage with Kuba as a main star). Because of his injures, he's transferred to another cell where he meets „Młody” (young prisoner). Their strange relationship grows. Kuba keeps old prison's rules based on honor, „Młody” keeps new rules where most powerful thing is money. „Młody” do not know that Kuba has betrayed the prison's principles. Kuba realizes he doesn't know anything about the word „outside”, he has nobody co come back to and he's simply terrified of long­awaited freedom. Some day Kuba get know that "Młody" also has been excluded from "prison subculture" in his previous (other) prison. When Kuba finds out about this fact he offers „Młody” a strange deal. „Młody” can rebuild his position in prison, get respect. Kuba can R.I.P. (stops sufferings, kicks the bucket).The deal comes from Kuba's deep fear of freedom. Fear which is acompanied with his loss of status in the prison (which has been his home for 25 years). „Młody” decides to make the desperate deal. Decides to help his friend and avoids humiliation and complete lack of respect from other prisoners to hisself.
