Vika, a 10 year old Russian-American girl tries to connect with her father who can't assimilate to American culture. Vika longs for her father’s approval but when he gets drunk at his Birthday party and marginalizes her, saying 'she doesn’t even remember her homeland,' Vika decides to venture out into the crude neighborhood and not return home.
