When he learnt that the train railway to his childhood vacation place in Cevennes (France) was closed, a Swiss film director in personal crisis decides to go back there, as he used to, crossing France on the train.
He gives himself the choice to always use the closest railway from the route, without taking the bus. A challenge that seems simple, but once passed the French boarder, troubles begin. Soon we found ourselves in breathtaking landscapes in a Kafkaesque odyssey.
A documentary that smells rusty rails, discreetly filmed by a cinema crew who followed the protagonist, who exposes a choking inventory of France’s little railways. Which through grotesque situations makes you go from tears to laughter.
