Zeinab

Synopsis: 

It's a story of a little girl Zeinab who was brought up in a devoted Muslim family that lives in London. At the age of seven, her dad wants her to wear a headscarf and conservative clothes. Zeinab obeys her dad despite her apparent discomfort in the new costume. Becoming a teen, Zeinab discovers her femininity, but she struggles between her thoughts and her family’s doctrine. She is obliged to live two contradictory lives until she gets the courage to face her parents. It is a story of how society imposes its rules and traditions on individuals. Zeinab represents the complex freedom of choice issue amongst females in strict communities.
