The wonderful images of the Iguazu National Park, its fauna and flora, the Iguazu Falls and the Devils Throat, are transformed into a desolate environment, an apocalyptic world, in an exciting story of love, hate, adventure, suspense, and horror. Used as part of the scenario, the labyrinths of the Ciudad del Este human anthill in Paraguay, and Foz do Iguazus border in Brazil, a chaotic world emerges from chemical weapons research done in a clandestine laboratory underground in Shopping Lai Lai Center, funded by a consortium among US government, pharmaceutical corporations and a large Brazilian import company. An unsuccessful experience turns part of the population into ravenous zombies who attack and devour people by turning them into undead. The survivors, hitherto unknown, are trapped in an abandoned market. The relationship between them reveals internal conflicts, destabilizing their fragile physical and psychological structures. A powerful metaphor of nowadays, where religious and political intolerance are about to reveal a rift in society. In an animalistic way one side intends to exterminate the other. The inner vs. outer logic, good and evil, puts the proof of humanitys existence, forcing survivors to revaluate their ethical concepts. A scary and dangerous universe forms outside the market place. A ferocious and hungry horde of zombies approaches and surrounds the market on all sides.
