Washington Sound Museum (WSM) is a cross-cultural collaborative concert series and public education project that introduces audiences to diverse genres of music. The collaborating artists expose and explore intersections of style and technique as they compose music for the performances. These collaborations serve as the basis for educational workshops about music, history, and culture. WSM features Grammy-nominated Progressive Hip-Hop artist Christylez Bacon, his hip-hop orchestra, and a guest collaborator. The guest musician possesses expertise in a genre of music different from Christylez Bacon’s DC-centric hip-hop. This film explores the musical exchange between Christylez Bacon's DC-centric Hip Hop and various music styles from Brazil. Christylez makes the journey from Washington DC to Brazil to collaborate with local musicians and they travel to DC to do the same. This culminates into a grand concert at the Atlas Theater in Washington, DC.
