Think Like a Zombie

Synopsis:

“Think Like a Zombie”

Genre: Family thriller

Logline:

An avant-garde girl protects her border-zombie friend and her father, who—resurrected deaf-mute—feel only the pain that threatens them from their hawkish neighbors.

Synopsis:

An unknown substance poisons and quarantines a part of a small town with LILY’s father ALAN and her friend SEAN. XANDER and BROCK lead the medical team when the infected start dying and miraculously recover, and Xander discovers that they are now deaf-mute, with barely any brain activity.

Sean dies in front of Lily and reawakens, which enables Lily to build a relationship with Sean with the help of deaf sign language, which she expands with the Indian sign talk that she learned from a Cherokee Indian WAYA. With Lily’s help, Waya and Sean use a mixture of both sign languages to communicate unaware that Brock’s bosses plan to sell the infected to a company as test monkeys for their illegal interrogation methods, which forces a troop of infected to break out and turn the city into chaos. Lily’s classes with the sign language for the infected help the sick to regain the basic form of communication when Alan breaks out from the quarantine and surprises Lily and her mother, who almost shoots her husband.

When townspeople, irritated by their walking-dead neighbors, gather by the quarantine to put an end to what they see as a threat to their city, Lily convinces them that the infected are no monsters, but still parts of their families.
