By chance, I discovered a rural village where I met a Naxi old lady, Nanny Liu. Nanny Liu invited me to her house and asked me to read letters for her because she doesn't understand Chinese writing. We shared a nice afternoon together embraced by serenity and peace. The images of this beautiful moment crossed my mind more and more often until one day, I decided to write a story about this beautiful encounter and the Dongba culture.The most beautiful thing in the world is the pureness and simplicity in nature, life and relationship. I hope our audiences can feel this beauty throughout the film and start to cherish what they have around them. A simple little thing becomes precious if we appreciate it.
