Silo, a Spiritual Path, tells the inspirational story of Mario Rodriguez Cobos, a revolutionary from Argentina who overcame censorship and persecution to propose a radical system of self realization leading to nonviolent social change. It speaks powerfully to today’s generation working for social justice and human rights.
Along with a wealth of archival footage, our young protagonist Catalina interviews many who knew Silo as a friend, a guide, and a master. Sharing their personal stories with moving candor, the result is a multifaceted portrait that is both historical and intimate as we see how the teachings of Silo challenge us to change ourselves in order to change the world.
Emerging in 1969 as a response to global violence and the repressive regimes in Argentina and Chile, Siloism has been embraced worldwide as a social, spiritual and consciousness raising movement, making Silo one of the most important contemporary guides to emerge from Latin America.
Filmed in Argentina, Chile, Russia, Spain and the United States.
Winner of multiple awards including the Accolade Global Film Award of Merit, Special Mention, a Hollywood International Independent Documentary Award of Excellence and a Spotlight Documentary Platinum Award, this is the New Short Documentary Version of the film completed in July 2017
