The story took place in Yunyang Town, where the relocation began in 2000 due to the construction of Three Gorges Dam. Three childhood friends were looking for the other missing one, while all sorts of sentiments began to escalate as the evacuation deadline drew near - feeling lost and scared for leaving home, excited yet confused for embracing the future. Here once was the comfort zone, however the unfamiliar destination at far has all the wild expectations. Struggling in the state of confusion, desperation, and chaos, they were gradually drifting apart. In the film, the reality and fantasy are taking place in parallel. I hope the real image of the surreal scene at the end will release all the emotions the audience might have. The momentum of the story stretches out eventually, constituting the rhythm and the essence of this film.
