During the devastating epidemy of a new kind of flu, the young Oinos tries to protect and comprehend the inner exile of his ex-girlfriend, Sara, who also has lost everything (and almost) everyone. They take shelter in a country house, borrowed by their friend, William, where Sara’s apathy and indifference gains even more strength with the appearance of Urias, the criminal. The chaos and the virus that they fight to avoid will also be their companion.
Silêncio & Sombra (Silence and Shadow) is an independent film, narrated in a non linear way, using elements from Dogma 95 and other surrealistic ones, being by definition, a mixture of subgenres, from “coming to age”drama to cabin film style passing through existentialist science fiction and even thriller. Filmed in the city of São Carlos-SP, in absolutely independent way with the budget of six thousand dollars.
