Running The 184

Ryan Donnelly, Anthony Russo and Connie Gardner attempt to run 184 miles, the length of New Jersey. After Ryan is diagnosed with a rare blood clotting disease, he decides to take the run on, one year after being admitted to the hospital with 2 blood clots in his leg, and one in his lung. His journey to run the length of New Jersey becomes a greater cause than he could ever imagine when more people join the run, and he inspires others to get off the couch and change their lives. The 184 mile run took place in the dead heat of late August. The runners all struggle and the in the end they inspire many people to get out and get healthy, including the filmmaker and his wife. This film includes interviews with elite ultramarathon runners Connie Gardner, Ali Venti, Traci Falbo, Phil McCarthy, Maggie Guterl and olympian marathoner Jeff Galloway. This is a story about overcoming, inspiration and passion. It is within ourselves, where we find the will to carry on in the face of struggle.
