The Reindeer belong to the Wind is a documentary film on the traditional lifestyle of a Sámi reindeer herding cooperative in Finnish Lapland. Members of the cooperative are given a voice rarely heard in Finnish cultural and political life. They describe in their own words the threats their livelihood - reindeer herding - faces in modern world. In this film you can also hear female Sámi reindeer herders who are traditionally very few in number in Nordic countries.
