20 years before, a middle-aged man lost his way in the mysterious deep forest in the midnight. After several days,He came back to village . However, as some strange things happened in the village, villagers thought the man was haunted by ghosts. After 20 years, the man had become the boss of a small restaurant, but he was still immersed in his horrible memory 20 years before.Afterwards, many mysterious things happened one after another. Therefore , Feifan, an editor ,his girlfriend Shuya, a hypnotist and their friends decided to go to the forest and uncover the truth 20 years before, and the man acted as their guide . In the forest , they found they are surrounded by unfamiliar and horrible environment and meet many strange things. Besides, Feifan found his girlfriend Shuya change her attitude towards him.
At last , the truth was uncovered, and it is a long story. The story begins with Luojie and his girlfriend. 20 years before, Luojie and his girlfriend studied in an university of the United States. By accident,they heard that a company of the United states want to set up an illegal factory in China . The factory wanted to make use of the latest technology to mutate the genes of Chinese and animals ,so as to control the whole country. Luojie and his girlfriend wanted to come back to China and uncover the secret,but several people from the company were hunting them with guns.As a result, the girlfriend of Luojie had been left hideously disfigured and fell into a wonderland.The wonderland is different from our world where the life from outer space controls everything. All the mysterious things were caused by them.The life from outer space wanted to take Luojie to his girlfriend,but they made a small mistake and brought the middle-aged man to the wonderland instead.After the mistake had been found out, they brought him back at once. Therefore, the man had horrible memory .Besides ,Feifan also realized why Shuya change her attitude towards him.In fact , Shuya suffered from incurable disease and she wanted to leave Feifan before she died. Feifan understood the truth of the life in the universe through the disease of his girlfriend. At last, shuya went to the wonderland which was controlled by the life from outer space . As the wonderland is in harmony with the world of us , Feifan can feel his girlfriend no matter where he is .The film wants to show us that the life on the earth is in harmony with the life from outer space. The life from outer space appears in the film as a kind of supernatural force.
