Kevin Malcom is a middle-aged American doctor who has moved to Italy to study a new medicinethat can cure a serious fatal disease of which his son Thomas died years before. Kevin experiences a synthesis of the new drug through the use of different substances, but something goes wrong, falls to the ground and faints. During the whole period in which the doctor is unconscious he makes a dreadful oneiric journey in whichthrough clues and memories he can find the solution for the synthesis of the new drug. The day after the nightmare Kevin finally has the final formula for medicine and will promise his son that, thanks to this new drug, no one will have to suffer anymore as he has suffered.
