Bizarre events befall Rosemount Lane when a newcomer, Ms Cutler, settles into town. Gene, a local resident drops by to meet the new homeowner and receives a sudden, unanticipated welcoming. Neighbors are never what they seem once you trim back the hedges.
Ms Cutler, is a wanderer, relocating from town to town. Yet, there are more nefarious motives to her nomadic lifestyle including a live-in boyfriend, a lost baby, a plastic surgeon, alter egos, disguises and a trail of missing people. Have you ever dreamt of your revenge? Well, Ms Cutler has … she is done being nice.
"The first time I watched the film 'Harold and Maude', a door opened, I realized there were people out there who enjoyed a darker, more ... unique view of the world. From that film I knew there would be an audience out there who shared my sense of humor, a small one, but still there were people, I was no longer alone." Sage Stevens, director/writer.
The story behind the film - Inspiration
When first deciding on the the look of the film we wanted to have a gritty and grainy look. No gloss, no high-res. We do not need to see every line and pore on an actors face. Sage, as a director wanted to achieve a more dated look. She wanted the film to have neo-noir influences in style and tone. Ms Cutler is a crime film, a bit tongue in cheek with a splash of glam. Along with the films Harold & Maude; and the Sweet Smell of Success; the TV Shows, Dexter and Desperate Housewives, were inspiration.
