'Lines of Sight' reveals a daring new painting style developed by Jim Hall, an American artist who died in August, 2017 at the age of 84. His style is called 'Lineillism', an intricate technique that uses all vertical lines. Hall developed the style after a case of Shingles marred his vision, causing him to see the world in lines. The acrylic paintings take more than a month to complete and feature more than 500,000 brush strokes. The only stipulation Hall put on our production was that we paint a realistic portrait of the artist - warts and all. The documentary shows how Hall overcame homelessness, alcoholism and depression, not to mention a stroke and shingles, to create the new art form. We have produced an award-winning documentary that is connecting with audiences - and if your festival has the budget to fly in filmmakers, we will bring along several original Lineillism paintings for your festival goers to see in person. We also have created a complete traveling museum exhibit that includes text panels, artifacts and 10 original Lineillism paintings that is also available for exhibition.
