Ilinx is a passion for the ‘edges’: the forms protrunding forward in order to become ‘forms’. A ‘formal’ that retires back to becoming-formal.The power of digital cinematography at sunset… that light smoke just sapid, radiant from midsummer: a radiometric light expanded… the faintly blue-green undertones… rolled-off in shades and mid-lights.Capturing that unobstrusive monotony without tapering… all the inky shadows complementaries… Below the midpoint of luminosity range, splitting a very dark modal low key. There are some faded light leaks and a ‘film bloom’ in most exposed zones, becoming subtle glowing by dreary fluorescent murky reflections and toes of shadows. There are some veiling glares, stuttering by the lights that are off-camera… a long, neverending verdanté: the pure green with a pastel nuancé, the green of spring leaves; a droning purplehaze: watercolor lavender, emerging from the distance… here’s the mystery, the langour; a mockering caprice: the cooled pink of carnival souls.
