HOME is a parable about rehabilitation and identity. What does home consist of?  What constitutes an identity? These are the questions the film raises.
The director, Samuel Auer, wrote his Bachelor thesis on the potential of internet in prisons and visited prisoners for months. All these experiences found their way into HOME and the film tackles the conflict of rehabilitation versus punishment. We follow our protagonist through his daily routines in prison and „freedom“. The split screen visually supports the conflict of the two worlds and challenges the audience.
