Logline: When a girl with diabetes disappears on a family vacation in China, the only trace is a forsaken autistic girl, who speaks only by playing her violin.
Synopsis: HENRY, ELIZABETH, and their daughter AMY, who has diabetes, enjoy their vacation in China. Amy practices Tai Chi in a park where she spots SHU and her violin and disappears with her, which forces Henry into Defcon 1. The hotel manager calls GANG, an old-fashioned detective, to help Henry, who leads Gang to the city market where they discover Shu. Alarmed by Shu's behavior, Gang asks a child specialist, LAN, for help, and Lan finds the reason for Shu's behavior, autism.
Amy awakens in an underground tunnel with the only exit, 15 feet above her, a twisted ankle, broken cell phone, and almost no insulin. Shu steals an insulin vial from Henry, escapes, and brings it to Amy. Gang finds Shu in her place on the market when Henry discovers that Shu took one of the insulin vials and helps her to escape again. Shu brings another vial to Amy, who is at the edge of her powers while Shu returns to the market, is found, and brought back to police where Lan communicates with Shu through Shu's violin play. Following Shu's lead, Gang, Henry, and Lan start a search mission and return without Amy. With new determination and Shu's violin play, Lan finds the right answer, an old dried out riverbed.
The night falls, and a storm breaks out, surprising Gang's troop while in her tunnel, Amy enjoys first raindrops that soon turn into a downpour. The shaft fills with water, and Amy faces a new danger, to drown. Lan's instincts rescue Amy at the last moment and help her discover that Shu is Gang's daughter, kidnapped years ago, and never found. The father and his daughter are reunited, and Eatons get their daughter back.
