Adam was born in west London along with three brothers. He moved to East Sussex when he was three, where he grew up. His formative years were spent in a semi-rural and coastal area where he became fascinated with painting, playing basketball and watching movies. His interest for filmmaking began at the age of ten after stumbling upon his grandmother's old damaged video camera. He was able to make a number of short films with friends and family as well as learning how to create stop motion animation. After winning the short film award in college, Adam gained a place at The University of Brighton where he obtained a degree in Broadcast Media and directed his first feature film 'The Making of'. He then transferred to the University of Greenwich and gained a second degree in Digital Film Production. After graduating, Adam spent six months working at Pinewood Studios, while simultaneously working on his second feature film Evidence of Existence.

Adam is now working on projects in both television and film.
