A Story


Talking about a rude awakening, young Chinese girl Wen catches girlfriend cheating the morning after party. Wen goes home hoping to find peace of mind, but only to find more distraught news of the family turmoil. How will Wen face these series of events that turn her life upside down?

A Story is a tribute to the classic film noir that not only encompasses core elements of anti-hero protagonist, femme fatale, and high contrast mise-en-scène; in addition, it touched on many relevant topics, such as feminism, sexuality, immigration, human trafficking, and prostitution.
