Vincent and Annabella are a wealthy couple living in New York City. They want to have a child, but discover that children will never be a possibility. Soon, their ambitions of family has an effect on their marriage. Then one day, Annabella meets a painter named Gillian; a seductive, exotic lesbian painter, who changes her whole perspective on her future and her life with Vincent.
