Synopsis: 

American Indian Movement leaders on Alcatraz Island, lead a pipe ceremony at the start of the February 11, 1978 Longest Walk - a spiritual walk across the United States opposing anti-Indian legislation that was before Congress, while we hear a riveting speech is given by Dr. Lehman L. Brightman on the capital steps, in Washington, D.C at the conclusion of the walk, July 15, 1978 - with a focus on the forced sterilization of Native American men and women that occurred in the 1970s. Chief Eagle Feather, Dennis Banks, Max Bear, Lehman Brightman, Vernon Bellecourt, Clyde Bellecourt, Buffie Saint Marie, among others, appear in the film.
