A Daughter’s Pledge

Synopsis:

“A Daughter’s Pledge”

Genre: Thriller-drama

Logline:

A patriotic mother confronts the post-Obamacare healthcare system that left her daughter braindead and threatens to make her, America’s newest mass murderer.

Synopsis:

CLIFTON and FAITH sacrificed two sons to their country when BRYLIE, their daughter, returns from war heavily wounded. The Army hospital saves Brylie’s life, but cannot unite Clifton and Faith, whose anger threatens to rip the family apart.

The army opens a case against Brylie, and Clifton, threatened from all sides, hides in his basement with his favorite fishing hobby, amateur bomb-making. Brylie barely survives her second operation when the army transfers her to a public hospital where the situation is close to a third world country. The army hits Faith again, demands she pays for all costs caused by Brylie’s injury. The final blow comes when Brylie ends brain-dead due to her wounds. Clifton threatens to go berserk, and Faith takes on a job at the public hospital where lays Brylie. She witnesses the tortures patients endure through DC’s ideas of free-market hospitals and cannot stop Brylie’s suffering because the army refuses to take Brylie off her life support.

Faith, overpowered by all that she saw plans to poison the hospital’s patients and free them from suffering when she realizes that Brylie is pregnant. The family reunites at Brylie’s grave together with Brylie’s daughter. Brylie kept her promise, she returned, and she brought someone with her who will stay with the family for years to come.
