Bartók

Synopsis:

Bartók

The place of Béla Bartók in the universal history of music is known and understandable to all. But are we really familiar with Bartók's personality and the way he saw the world, with his human character? Our film is seeking the answers to the questions of what a man he was as a private citizen; a patriot, a well-known figure and a cosmopolite, and how he was able to recognize differences and connections in the musical culture of various peoples.

Footage of Bartók along with yet unpublished family photos can also be seen in the film. Péter Bartók's emotional and very suggestive presentation style make it a unique and original experience. Each piece of music in the film is Béla Bartók's composition.…
